Stamina CPS 1305 Indoor Upright Exercise Bike
- Look for a friend that you can exercise with. Doing this will boost your motivation to walk regularly, cycle, swim, go to that gym session or exercise class.
- Participate in a health club that’s relatively easy for you to get to. You may want to make the most out of your instructor’s experience and knowledge in helping you choose and get started on an appropriate exercise routine.
- Go to an exercise class. There’s a wide range of classes available, from the traditional bums, legs and tums to body combat. Most certainly, your local exercise center will have lots of options for you, and they normally cater to different age groups and different conditions like people over their 50s or pregnant women. Don’t feel discouraged at first as it will take some time for you to get comfortable with your new moves. You’ll get the hang of it after a couple of weeks or days.
- If you want some natural heart care exercise that’s controlled and gentle, you can try Pilates or yoga. These are wonderful alternatives for building flexibility, muscle strength and tone.

The Causes Of Heart Disease
Posted by Sean at 6:23 PM Monday, September 20, 2010Understanding the causes, symptoms and the risk factors of heart disease will help you understand the natural remedies for the heart and effectively prevent and cure it. Heart problems can take many different forms – coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, stroke, valvular heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, or stroke. According to the WHO, heart problems cause about 12 million deaths every year. It is also responsible for 50 percent of deaths in the US. Research has found many specific factors that play an essential role in a person’s chances of developing heart problems. These are referred to as risk factors.
These are some of the causes of heart disease. Understanding them will give you a bigger chance of decreasing your risk factors in developing heart ailments and focus more on natural heart care.
1. Saturated fats, although a central factor in heart disease, do not work in isolation in the diet. Refined carbohydrates and specifically sugar are also known to increase fat levels in the blood. The combination of sugar or refined carbohydrates taken with saturated fats seems to cause the highest of all increases of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. This combination of foods is extremely common in the modern diet from early childhood on. For example, the typical milkshake (sugar and milk) or a hamburger and Coke (meat, refined white flour, bun and sugar). While saturated fat consumption has increased only 10 percent in the past century, the increase in refined carbohydrates and sugar has gone up to an incredible 700 percent. This increase in consumption of refined carbohydrates, especially sugar, is the single most important factor affecting a rise in blood triglycerides, there is a definite link between societies with an extremely high sucrose consumption and coronary heart problems.
2. Lack of cardiovascular exercise. Exercise is one of the natural remedies for the heart. But lifestyles have changed drastically over the past century and as general physical activity levels have decreased, heart problems have increased. Physical exercise gets the blood flowing, helps clear the arteries of any early deposits, and prevents atherosclerosis and high blood pressure. In general, a very active person will develop heart problems later than his or her sedentary peer, or not at all.
3. Stress, coffee, smoking, alcohol and obesity are all contributing factors. Stress causes an increase in cholesterol, glucose level triglycerides and an increase in blood pressure. Heavy caffeine consumption results in a twofold greater risk of heart problems. Cigarette smoking is a well-documented risk factor in heart problems. They all cause narrowing of the arteries which is especially important in cases of angina where atherosclerosis is present.
It has been clear that the only prevention and cure for sd is to be found in a total lifestyle change. For those who are waiting for a simple answer, or one that comes in a little package or easy to swallow pill, I offer no hope.

The Key To Overall Heart Wellness
Posted by Sean at 5:30 PM Thursday, September 16, 2010Exercise is one of the natural remedies for the heart which can improve its ability to utilize oxygen and help strengthen its muscles. It can also boost vascular function (pertains to the ability of the blood vessels to react to increased oxygen needs), lessen the chances of disability for older folks, and improve bone health.
Sure these all sounds good, but what if you don’t like the idea of exercising? The key here is to look for activities or a simple cardiovascular routine that you will enjoy doing. Remember that different kinds of natural remedies for the heart, such as cardiovascular exercise, can boost your heart’s health in myriads of ways.
Below are some guidelines for cardiovascular exercise and some great tips that can help you begin a healthy exercise plan:

1. To increase your heart rate, you can do aerobic exercises for 30 minutes daily. Everyday activities like taking a brisk walk, climbing the stairs, treadmill or orbital exercise machine can get your heart rate up.
2. Any form of exercise that is moderate in intensity such as jogging, swimming, yoga and Pilates is good. Whenever you exercise your heart muscles, you are exercising your entire body as well. There’s really no need for you to get an expensive gym membership to have a healthy heart. All you need is just a bit of motivation for natural heart care, and of course a great pair of walking shoes.
3. If you have a hectic schedule and simply can’t make time for a 30 minute workout, you can fit shorter but more frequent exercises in your schedule. You can start by walking at least 5 to 10 minutes a couple of times daily. Park your car a mile from your workplace or take the stairs. You can most definitely count all the house chores like vacuuming, a short walk during lunch break, mowing the lawn, gardening or doing the laundry.
4. If you are fond of exercising and is already into some regular form of exercise routine, then you can continue doing this for 20 to 30 minutes at least 3 days a week.
As with any form of exercise for the heart, it’s always great to start at a slow pace by warming up and gradually increase your pace afterwards. Once you finish your routine, a great cooling down exercise is also important. As with any new exercise routine, it’s always wise to consult with your health practitioner if you are at risk.
